A cholesterol screening is a finger poke blood test that measures the Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) or "bad" cholesterol and High Density Lipoprotein (HDL). Having high levels of LDL cholesterol can result in plaque buildup in your arteries which could cause heart disease or stroke.
Cholesterol screenings are available, by appointment, on Tuesdays and Fridays (excludes holidays).
$25 cash or check
Included in the screening are results for the following:
High Density Lipoprotein (HDL)
Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL)
Fasting is not necessary for this screening. Blood pressure screening is also done at the time of visit.
