Water & Sewer Billing & Payment Information

Water and Sewer bills are issued tri-annually by the South Milwaukee Water Utility.

Cycle Codes

• Billing Cycle Code 1: January, May, and September
• Billing Cycle Code 2: April, August, and December
• Billing Cycle Code 3: March, July, and November
• Billing Cycle Code 4: February, June, and October

Payment is due by the 20th of the billing month. If the 20th falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, such that City Hall is closed, your payment will be considered timely if paid the following business day.

NEW ON-LINE PAYMENT OPTION! 

The South Milwaukee Water Utility is now offering its customers the ability to link to your account in our new online payment portal Our Community Connect. 

Creating an account with Our Community Connect will allow you to: 

• Pay Utility Bills using a credit card, debit card, or bank account (*fees apply)
• View Utility Bills and Balance Due
• Sign up to receive paperless Utility Bills
• Sign up for auto-pay
• Receive text notifications concerning your South Milwaukee Water Utility Account

24-Hour Depository Box

Located along the wall of City Hall facing 15th Avenue, just north of the main doors.

Setup Online Bill Pay with Your Personal Financial Institution 

* Please set up several days in advance of your due date. Your bank will need time to process your request and send a paper check       through the mail for your payment.

To set up Online Bill Pay with your personal financial institution, you will need a copy of the South Milwaukee Water Utility bill that was issued to you. Visit your bank’s website, locate the "Bill Pay" information, add "new payee," and type "South Milwaukee Water Utility" as the payee. You must include the proper mailing address for the South Milwaukee Water Utility and the water bill’s full account number and address (if space allows.) 

This service is set up directly through your personal bank, and each payment will need to be initiated by the customer. This service will not automatically send future payments to the South Milwaukee Water Utility.
