Our Community Connect Payment Portal
The South Milwaukee Water Utility is now offering its customers the ability to setup an account in our new online payment portal.
Creating an account with Our Community Connect will allow you to:
- Pay Utility Bills using a credit card, debit card, or bank account (*fees apply)
- View Utility Bills and Balance Due
- Sign up to receive paperless Utility Bills
- Sign up for auto-pay
- Receive text notifications concerning your South Milwaukee Water Utility Account
To create an account with Our Community Connect:
- Go to Our Community Connect and click on "Create your account"
- Enter your email address, create a strong password, and confirm password
- Enter your cell phone number if you wish to opt in for text message alerts concerning your Utility account **Message and data rates may apply**
- Then click on "Register"
- Verify your email address. The verification email you receive will expire, so be sure to do this right away!
- Enter your customer number and your total current charges on your most recent bill.
- Please note: Payments tendered through this portal will be assessed a convenience fee based on the total amount due. Convenience fees are in addition to the amount(s) owed and are calculated as follows:
- *$1.50 for payments using checking/savings accounts
- *2.5% per transaction for payments using a credit/debit card
- MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express
- Please note: Payments tendered through this portal will be assessed a convenience fee based on the total amount due. Convenience fees are in addition to the amount(s) owed and are calculated as follows:
Troubleshooting Notes:
- The portal provides an option to enter your last name in the registration process. This will not work in most cases, so please use the total current charges amount on your latest bill.
- If you sign up for the portal using your cell phone and have "dark mode" set on, the screen will be difficult to read. If you experience this, turn "dark mode" off or use a PC or laptop to sign up.
- If you wish to have your email unlinked from the Water Utility Account, you must contact South Milwaukee Water Utility to have your email removed.
